Stuff You Should Know

No one was more surprised than I at the impressive number of entries for Thrilling Days of Yesteryear’s “Tough Luck!” giveaway; I can’t seem to find enough hours in the day to put up regular blog content in the manner that I would like, so it’s encouraging when folks write in to tell me they haven’t given up on the blog despite my flagrant use of bribery.  (I’m kidding, of course.)  As always: I would have loved to send a copy of this Radio Spirits Jack Benny CD collection to everyone who entered…but I think that would throw a monkey wrench into the gears of the company’s business model.  (Okay, that metaphor could use some work.  It’s still early.)

Having mangled that, TDOY gives a laurel and hearty handshake to longtime member of the TDOY faithful Dan Olson—an exemplary resident of The Great White North who just so happens to have a U.S. mailing address…which means I’ll be able to avoid the strip search at the post office.  (This time.)  In closing, let me state for the record that there’s no need to be discouraged: I’ll have another contest at the ready in about two weeks, allowing all of you cartooners another opportunity to win some swell swag.  Once again, congratulations, Dan!
