Stuff You Should Know

I received a plethora (I learned this word from Cliff Weimer—it means “a lot”) of entries in the latest Thrilling Days of Yesteryear giveaway…oddly enough, I think we had more people participate in the previous “Full Details” contest.  But that’s just nitpicking on my part, and though I would dearly love to be able to hand out a copy of the Radio Spirits CD collection Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar: Fabulous Freelance to everyone who dropped me an e-mail…there can be only one winner.  That individual is member of the TDOY faithful Harvey Tow, from beautiful downtown Dismal Seepage, Ohio.  (Okay, that is not his actual address—he left the “residence” portion blank on his contest entry.)  Harvey will soon be cradling a copy of Fabulous Freelance of his very own though he won’t have to get up during the night for any 3am feedings.

By the way, after seeing the Warner’s characters dancing above “Thrilling Days of Yesteryear” Harvey was nice to share this with me when he entered the “Full Details” giveaway—Friz Freleng’s grave marker:
FRIZ FRELENG 2
Next week here at the blog: the game’s afoot with another giveaway, a collection of sixteen vintage radio broadcasts from a series spotlighting the world’s greatest consulting detective.  (You know who it is already, don’tcha?)  Be sure to be here this coming Saturday for details on how you can enter and (dare I say it?) win!

  1. Wow! I guess there’s always a first time for anything. I’m thrilled to have won. I’m looking forward to hearing the Yours Truly stories as Johnny Dollar is one of my favorites.
