Major Awards!

awards-night

The august aggregation of classic movie bloggers known as The Classic Movie Blog Association (well, I think it’s kinda catchy) put on their best bib-and-tucker Monday night to attend the 2018 Annual CiMBA Awards Dinner.  It’s a most swanky affair; they have at least four different forks at each place setting (you really only need one, but hey…this is apparently how the high-toned folks eat) and they serve up a sumptuous spread before handing out the trophies for blog excellence.  (They also give you the stink-eye if you go wild with the prime rib.  Don’t ask me how I know this, by the way.)

All seriousness aside—there were a great many splendid nominations this year and as such, they are to be congratulated in the same spirit as the winners.  Below is the complete list of nominees, with the winners in bold (and links to their posts):

  1. Congratulations to all of our lucky winners. Have a slice of chocolate cake on me.

The CMBA is such a lovely bunch. The passion that we all have for the classic film era is helping to keep those fabulous films, actors, and directors alive in the present day in my opinion.
